摘要: Natural forages are an important part of the diet cattle in Cambodia, but their nutrient value, particularly terms macro-minerals, may be inadequate, leading to potential mineral deficiencies grazing cattle. This thesis compared composition six forage types (rice bran, rice straw, para grass, cassava foliage, leucaena leaves, water hyacinth leaves) from two regions Cambodia against faecal and urinary excretion macro minerals by The analyses showed that Ca P levels varied markedly between different several commonly used have a does not cover requirements In experimental study examining effects dietary supplementation with sun-dried foliage (Manihot esculenta) total dry matter (DM) intake nitrogen retention was found increase increasing DM fibre digestibility decreased. It concluded is good source which compensates for low content straw deficiency appears exaggerated higher intake. Two experiments find appropriate way using sugar palm syrup when preserving grass applying at least 2% (fresh basis) ensiling improved fermentation quality resulting silage rumen supplement diet. Rumen pH slightly lower feed conversion more efficient consuming silage. Para digestible nitrogen.
