摘要: Reported data reflect coital frequency accurately in a 24-hour period but are more questionable for reports over four-week period. This study compared responses and reinterviews of 51 about 2000 women 1979 the Matlab area Bangladesh. Exact correspondence on last date sexual intercourse (within one day) was determined. Out an original 60 selected eight refused did not have any within past month. Results indicate that 15 cases (30%) coincided exactly. 26 (52%) were day 39 (78%) three days. Four involved extreme differences than 10 days these also included only report from aged 40 years. A comparison activity with those who reinterview showed reported values at extremes distribution. Either "last night" or "a month ago" common responses. There significant difference number reporting coitus previous night to supervisor reinterviewer. Care must be taken wording sensitive questions having do time intercourse. Consideration given sex social status respondent training interviewers privacy questionnaire administration. The suggestion is made limit recall week frequent intercourse; low levels might suitable. less well-known affected reinterviews. In conservative settings Bangladesh there may need establish good rapport. Heaping fit expected pattern quadrupling weeks response. occurred numbers ending "0" "5." recommendation continued use question because reasonably reliable this type information can useful estimating monthly fecundability.
