摘要: A wide range of pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatments have been used to relieve depression in persons with cognitive impairment dementia. Clinical consensus research appear support SSRIs as a first choice for the treatment In nonresponsive or special needs patients, other drugs used, including antipsychotics, anticholinergics, anticonvulsants, memantine, complementary/alternative medications. Extra care is required prescribing this population, due generally high level medical psychiatric comorbidity potential difficulty assessing cognitively impaired patient’s response. Nonpharmacologic interventions emotion-oriented therapies, behavioral cognitive-behavioral modification programs, structured activity programs demonstrate initial treating depression, anxiety, BPSD. Sensory stimulation therapies such art/music therapy, aromatherapy, animal-assisted/pet massage/touch multisensory approaches show some promise successful dementia, but further more rigorous needed establish their validity.
