摘要: Sequential hematologic studies were performed in four infants with malignant osteopetrosis who received prednisone. Prednisone therapy resulted decreased liver and spleen size, numbers of circulating immature blood cells, increased hemoglobin concentration platelet counts all infants. The quantity quality hematopoietic tissue bone marrow biopsies improved during prednisone but showed no significant improvement without therapy. indium 111 chloride scans one infant uptake long bones pelvis We conclude that infantile results hematopoiesis extramedullary hematopoiesis.
