Improved Synthesis of 1,3-Diaryl-2-propen-1-one Oxime in the Presence of Anhydrous Sodium Sulfate

摘要: Synthesis of 1,3-diaryl-2-propen-1-one oxime via the condensation with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in presence anhydrous sodium sulfate was carried out refluxing EtOH for 2–4 h 83%–93% yields. The significant features present procedure include higher yield, shorter reaction time, reduced molar ratio to substrate, compared reported literature method.
