The synthesis and some NMR properties of 2,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)-6-phenyl-λ3-phosphinine

摘要: The synthesis, from 1,2,5-triphenylphosphole and bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene, of 2,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)-6-phenyl-λ3-phosphinine, the first example a λ3-phosphinine bearing phosphorus-containing side chains, is reported. This compound shows in its nmr spectrum largest value 3Jpp (178 Hz) yet reported for system containing PIII-C-C-PIII linkage. Evidence presented which supports idea that this extraordinarily large coupling arises as result geometrical factors place non-bonding electron pairs two side-chain P atoms very close proximity to one another. Reactions λ3-phos-phinine with Ni(II) Pt(II) compounds are briefly discussed context properties both ligand complexes formed.
