Statistical study of particle acceleration in the core of foreshock transients

摘要: Several types of foreshock transients upstream Earth's bow shock possessing a tenuous, hot core have been observed and simulated. Because the low dynamic pressure in their cores, these phenomena can significantly disturb magnetosphere-ionosphere system. Recent observations also demonstrated that accelerate particles which, when transported earthward, affect space weather. Understanding potential to help us understand acceleration at Earth other planetary astrophysical systems. To further investigate transients' for we conduct statistical study ion electron energization transients. We find energies typically increase there, evidently due an internal process, whereas, as expected, most often decrease support transient formation expansion.
