摘要: Objective : We hypothesized that combined treatment with glucocorticoid plus thyrotropin-releasing hormone administered to pregnant ewes preterm gestation accelerates fetal lung maturation of undisturbed lambs better than single hormonal does. Study Design Twenty-five at 123 days were randomized receive (1) 0.9% sodium chloride (controls), (2) betamethasone (12 mg intramuscularly every 24 hours two times), (3) (400 μg intravenously 8 six or (4) betamethasone. After delivery by cesarean section 125 lamb compliance and alveolar lavage phospholipid content determined. Results Betamethasone significantly increased expressed as milliliters air per gram wet weight 40 cm H 2 O 5 (0.82 ± 0.13 0.35 0.10 ml/gm lung, respectively) versus (0.37 0.02 0.07 0.02), (0.38 0.14 0.03), control (0.25 0.03 0.09 0.01) groups. Also, total phospholipids saturated phosphatidylcholine concentrations in higher the group (27.3 4.9 16.9 4.3 μg/gm (10.9 3.5 6.7 2.1), (15.2 5.6 7.3 2.0), (7.9 2.4 3.6 1.0) Conclusion Combined maternal administration improves days' more does either given alone.
