摘要: In recent years, inflammation has become implicated as a major pathogenic factor in the onset and progression of Parkinson's disease. Understanding precise role for PD will likely lead to understanding how sporadic disease arises. vivo evidence includes microglial activation, increased expression inflammatory genes periphery central nervous system (CNS), infiltration peripheral immune cells into CNS, altered composition phenotype cells. These findings are recapitulated various animal models reviewed herein. Furthermore, we examine potential relevance PD-linked genetic mutations function extent which environmental exposures that recapitulate these phenotypes, may through similar mechanisms. Given implications involvement on progression, conclude by reviewing supporting efficacy immunomodulatory therapies prevention or treatment. There is clear need additional research clarify immunity this chronic, neurodegenerative
