摘要: Abstract Mechanical activation is one of the most efficient pretreatment methods used to accelerate reaction rate in mineral carbonation technology. This paper reviews current research related this technique with a specific focus on three types magnesium silicates - olivine and serpentine, partially serpentinized olivine. First, effects mechanical are listed compared regard variety milling conditions, including diverse energy inputs, grinding aids mill types. Then, existing literature determines extents activation, reviewed respect downstream processes, direct gas/solid carbonation, aqueous indirect solid/solid mechanochemical carbonation. Finally, suggestions made for further study applying an integrated process, order lower consumption commercial systems.
