AS-level topology collection through looking glass servers

摘要: While accurate and complete modeling of the Internet topology at Autonomous System (AS) level is critical for future protocol design, performance evaluation, simulation analysis, still it remains a challenge to construct its representation. In this paper, we collect BGP route announcements ASes from Looking glass (LG) servers. By querying LG servers, build an AS estimate around 116 K links, which discover 11 new links 686 ASes. We conclude that collecting traces servers can help enhance current view collector projects (e.g., RouteViews).
