摘要: Plants regenerated from relatively undifferentiated callus cultures possess a vast array of genetic changes. Such variations can result in useful agricultural and horticultural products. For other purposes, however, traits than those interest may be undesirable--for example, using cultured cells for engineering. Any steps made toward understanding the basis tissue culture-induced variation should helpful developing more stable manipulatable somatic cell system. This review provides glimpse at specific kinds changes encountered among plants their progeny. Included these are cytosine methylation alterations genome. The repeat-induced point mutation (RIP) phenomenon, reported filamentous fungi, is invoked to provide framework consider origin plant cultures.
