摘要: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by infiltration and activation cells structural changes, including subepithelial fibrosis, smooth muscle hypertrophy/hyperplasia, epithelial cell metaplasia angiogenesis. These changes are thought to correlate with asthma severity account for development progressive lung function deterioration. The mechanism underlying airway angiogenesis in its precise clinical relevance have not yet been completely elucidated. This review provides recent data showing contribution allergic inflammation increased vascularity potential therapeutical approaches treatment acting on bronchial microvascular changes.
