Fast and Reversible Detection of Nitrobenzene Vapour by a Fluorescent Metal–Organic Framework Templated by Ionic Liquid

摘要: A novel metal–organic framework, [Zn(HL)(H2O)]·[EMI] (1), has been hydro/solvothermally synthesized in the presence of [EMI]Br ionic liquid (IL) (H4L = 2,2′,4,4′-quaterphenyl tetracarboxylic acid, EMI = 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium). The interesting feature 1 is that HL ligands connect Zn(II) ions to afford a fascinating meso-helical chains with left- and right-handed helical loops one single strand along c axis, which are further connected by O–H···O hydrogen bonds generate 3D supramolecular framework. free IL [EMI] cations filled voids title complex was characterized elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric single-crystal X-ray crystallography powder diffraction. More interesting, fluorescence shows fast reversible detection NB vapour, exhibits its potential as sensor.
