摘要: Recent developments in the study of biosynthetic processes Of OOgenesis Drosophila melanogaster (Jacob & Sirlin, 1959; King Sang, Zalokar, 1960; Sirlin Jacob, 1960) and a more extensive knowledge submicroscopic structure developing egg (King Devine, 1958; Waddington Okada, have renewed interest ‘mosaic’ character freshly deposited egg. This has long been subject investigation for insect embryologists, but available experimental techniques not provided necessary refinement detailed studies. Previously, most successful method was that partial irradiation with ultra-violet light (Geigy, 1931 , b ). The ultraviolet particularly suitable this type work because its comparatively low penetration into protoplasm: roughly 85 per cent, absorption occurred 50 μ at wavelength 300 mμ (from data Bachem Read, 1931, stratum malpighii), stronger obtained shorter wavelengths.
