The CUORE experiment: a search for neutrinoless double beta decay

摘要: Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay is searched by physicists since tens of years. Fighting to reach higher and sensitivities, novel techniques have been suggested large mass experiments proposed or are under construction. Within this picture, cryogenic particle detectors play a primary role. CUORICINO, 40.7 kg array low temperature TeO2 calorimeters, provided one the best limits on effective neutrino Majorana mass. The final result - now closed experiment here presented. heir CUORICINO CUORE: an 988 calorimeters with total 750 kg. current status CUORE presently construction at Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso illustrated, perspectives for search discussed.
