摘要: The complete structural characterization of the hexagonal cobaltite BaMn 0.4 CO 0.6 O 2.83 has been performed by combining high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and neutron diffraction. structure is closely related to 12H (cc'chh) 2 with oxygen deficient cubic c'-BaO layers. This framework forms a laminar in which tetramers face-sharing octahedra occupied manganese cobalt are connected comers two tetrahedral layers mostly cobalt. A magnetic study shows only presence short-range interactions indicating that there no between through layers, thus impeding three-dimensional ordering system. spin-glass-like state was found be compatible observed phenomenology.
