摘要: Roman high- (RHA) and low-avoidance (RLA) rats, selectively bred for, respectively, rapid vs. extremely poor acquisition of avoidant behaviour in the shuttle-box, display different coping strategies when exposed to aversive environmental conditions: RLA rats are reactive copers show hyperemotional characterized by hypomotility freezing, while RHA a proactive aimed at gaining control over stressor. also robust sensation/novelty seeking profile, high baseline levels impulsivity, marked preference intake of, natural drug rewards. This study shows that lines differ sexual behaviour, main source reward. Thus, male engaged copulatory activity with receptive female showing more mounts, intromissions ejaculations first copulation test as compared their counterparts Sprague Dawley used an external reference strain. Such differences decreased only partially subsequent tests, always higher motivation performance than rats. Accordingly, analysis parameters five tests performed 3-day intervals confirmed patterns persist after stabilization experience. Finally, weight testes, epididymides seminal vesicles increased similar extent both activity. These results discussed terms relative contribution brain neurotransmission (mainly dopamine) neuroendocrine function lines.
