摘要: Astrolabe is a new kind of peer-to-peer system implementing hierarchical distributed database abstraction. Although deigned for scalable management and data mining, the can also support wide-area multicast offers powerful aggregation mechanisms that permit applications to build customized virtual databases by extracting summarizing located throughout large network. In contrast other systems, hierarchy purely an abstraction constructed running our protocol on participating hosts - there are no servers, doesn't superimpose specialized routing infrastructure or employ DHT. This paper focuses implementation challenges.
