摘要: Abstract Silica nanoparticles were amply used as one of the common drilling fluid nano-sized additives. Polyethylene glycol-coated colloidal silica with binomial size distribution prepared and dispersed in water-based fluid. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis shows that has two peaks at 20.5 nm 115 nm. Intact plugs from a well-preserved clay-rich carbonate formation obtained characterized using X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD) Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) observations. Pore Pressure Transmission (PPT) technique was to investigate effect on pressure penetration through rock sample. Effect plugging process studied performance optimized. The proved superior monodisperse nanoparticles. In addition, due improved plugging, satisfactory results lower concentration Drilling 7 wt% showed same 10 wt% Moreover, polyethylene glycol, steric stabilizer, excellent reducing agglomeration among aqueous suspensions.
