摘要: Recent monitoring data indicate that portions of Italy's Venice Lagoon ecosystem have been degraded due to biological and chemical pollution from a variety potential sources. Using polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (PCDD) dibenzofuran (PCDF) collected sediment, fish shellfish in the Lagoon, screening-level ecological risk assessment (ERA) was performed evaluate risks representative aquatic biota wildlife receptors. Risks invertebrates posed by PCDD/Fs sediment were evaluated comparing measured tissue concentrations appropriate ecotoxicological reference values. For mammalian avian receptors, theoretical exposures through food chain calculated using conservative exposure models. Results approach for adverse effects invertebrate receptors surficial sediments are unlikely. Adverse possible but highly uncertain, warrants further investigation more comprehensive ERA.
