摘要: Sustainable use of the Amazon forest for timber production is conditioned by effect logging on system's nutrient cycling. This paper reports results a soil moisture and water chemistry monitoring campaign before immediately after selective which removed 35 m3 wood/ha. Soil was measured using tensiometers, suction samplers in five disturbance classes: tractor tracks, clearing centres, edges, edges untouched forest. The show that under tracks clearings contained more than extracted substantially nitrate, ammonium, calcium, magnesium potassium from sites. are explained terms altered microbial activity, changes crown interception uptake roots.
