摘要: The purpose of this study was to test thegeneralizability previous research on genderdifferences between men and women with co-occurringschizophrenia substance abuse. One hundred eightpatients schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorderinvolved in a treatment for homeless personswere interviewed information regarding substanceuse, social functioning support, comorbid disorders, victimization, medical illness, legaltroubles. We found that had more children weremore socially connected than men. Women also higherrates sexual physical anxiety depression, illnessthan conclude dualdisorders, like use disorders inthe general population, have distinct characteristics, vulnerabilities, needs comparedwith In addition comprehensive ofpsychiatric gender-specificservices should be developed, including prevention victimization relatedproblems as well help accessing medicalservices.
