[Development and reliability evaluation of an instrument to measure health-related quality of life in independent elderly].

摘要: This study presents an instrument, the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) profile for independent elderly, to measure functionally elderly assisted in outpatient setting, based on adaptation four validated scales: Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36), Duke-UNC Profile (DUHP), Sickness Impact (SIP), and Nottingham (NHP). The also evaluates instrument's reliability its use by two different observers with a 15-day interval. instrument includes five dimensions (health perception, symptoms, physical function, psychological social function) 45 items. Reliability evaluation QUASI was interviews 142 outpatients city Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prevalence-adjusted kappa statistic used assess all Correlation calculated between overall scores individual dimensions. In evaluation, 39 items showed prevalence-adjusted greater than 0.60.
