摘要: Single and multiple ionization of He, Ne, Ar has been studied experimentally by impact fast protons antiprotons. The single-ionization cross sections obtained with antiprotons are found to be the same. double-ionization antiprotons, however, much larger than those at equal velocity. This difference is for all three gases but effect largest He where about a factor 2 1 MeV/amu. discussed in terms interference between two collision mechanisms which both result double-electron escape. Experimental information on magnitude term inclusion data, partly this work, electron \ensuremath{\alpha}-particle impact. For triple we also find that yield do. Identical sections, believed due fact mainly consequence single vacancy produced an inner shell followed electronic rearrangement. observation supports interpretation observed charge outermost shell.
