Generalized Langevin equation approach for atom/solid‐surface scattering: Collinear atom/harmonic chain model

摘要: Zwanzig's approach to inelastic atom/harmonic chain scattering is recast in a form which suggests generalization atomic collisions with real solid surfaces. We reduce the infinite set of equations motion for impinging atom and harmonic pair motion. These describe collision incident particle generalized Langevin oscillator. The first second fluctuation‐dissipation theorems oscillator are verified their implications process discussed.
