摘要: Abstract The paper briefly reports the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process undertaken in 1994–1996 into future of Mount Stirling Victoria, Australia, which was targeted for development as an integrated ski resort. EIA preceded by extreme controversy about proposed use mountain downhill skiing and a legal injunction to stall development. It represents rare example where government used find best overall solution public policy issue.
