Abuse in Old Age-Epidemiological Data from Finland

摘要: The occurence of abuse in old age, the types and places abuse, factors related to it were investigated by interviewing a population aged 65 years or over living semi-rural Finnish community. Three percent men 9% women said that they had been abused after age retirement. Forty-six 75% ill-treated their spouse, child other relatives. Friends unknown persons more often abusers male cases (54%) but not female ones (22%). A common place for this occur was elderly person's own home, both among (46%) (82%); another 46% happened streets, shop, an official building. Physical psychological violence most prevalent sexes. individuals characterized poor health, lack confidants, loneliness, satisfaction with life, family relations.
