摘要: Abstract Phenetic analysis of morphological characters taxa in the section Dutra genusDatura from native populations on mainland Mexico supported recognition seven species D. discolor, inoxia, kymatocarpa, lanosa, metel, pruinosa, and reburra. These aggregated into three large groups which shared similar anther length, seed surface texture, fruit dehiscence, corolla calyx lobe stamen length leaf length. Based similarity characters, it is probable that domesticated metel was derived wild inoxia southern Mexico.
