摘要: This study presents the design and modification of a desalting unit in an existing refinery where crude oil is desalted single-stage desalter. The considers scheduled increase feedstock, change from current lighter blend to future heavier blend. A more stringent limit with regard salt content also applied. simulation studies showed that second stage electrostatic desalter required order achieve one parts per thousand barrel (PTB) compared ten PTB, starting 100 PTB. process was simulated using HYSYS computer software. Calculations related heat integration best operating temperature plant are presented. Mass balances discussed several environmental issues addressed.
