摘要: Abstract Hard and wear resistant coatings are useful to enhance the functional properties improve lifetime of mechanical components. This study proposes a relationship between microstructure tribo-mechanical TiC, CrC, ZrC WC transition metal carbide coatings. In these coatings, an amorphous carbon (a-C) matrix phase coexists with crystalline TMC phase. Superior resistance followed by TiC coating was observed this explained improved crystallinity a-C present in Wear mechanisms were proposed chemical analysis tracks using micro Raman spectroscopy energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
