Fabrication of Photonic Crystals Using Holographic Lithography

摘要: Fabrication of periodical micro- and nano-structures with functional defects is one the key issues in photonic crystals metamaterials research fields. Low cost, fast, simple fabrication techniques capable producing structures a large scale are crucial to realize their potential applications. In this chapter, we will firstly provide an overview recent activities especially by holographic lithography technique. Secondly, emphasize on discussing principle, advantage, experimental processes single-prism based method, where refractive prism compacts simplifies optical setup since it can split recombine multiple beams simultaneously. Specific examples from literature be illustrated. We also demonstrate how generate modulating phase laser beam one-, two-, three-dimensional periodic single exposure process. Lastly, concentrate application templates fabricated technique, such as inversing infiltrating materials, or materials higher index than polymers obtain larger band gap.
