摘要: Program affordability needs to be built-in at the initial concept formulation stage. For NASA’s space exploration vision this is critical for long range sustainability of human presence in space. What often overlooked a large scale system endeavor such as Constellation program hidden cost maintaining requisite operational safety margins and redundancy through adequate supply chain logistics. Ensuring logistics necessitates integration operations maintenance cycles. enables coordination reconciliation across multiple equipment types health features logistical information as: (1) prognostic drivers from Integrated Vehicle Health Monitoring (IVHM) systems producing proactive condition-based "maintain me" demands, (2) management tracking usage scheduled (3) unscheduled demands resulting any trouble reports entered by observers conditions missed IVHM system, (4) implicit mission plans which require assignment vehicular/robotic assets consequently assurance assigned assets' fitness intended tasks. In paper we discuss how Coordinated Multi-source Maintenance on Demand (CMMD) technology, being transitioned USMC Coherent Analytical Computing Environment (CACE) Joint Strike Fighter Program, can applied NASA domain, its benefits terms affordability, efficiency effectiveness. Using concepts derived CMMD, kind capabilities needed optimize multiple, parallel, yet inter-linked, operations-maintenance cycles, thereby optimizing while meeting specific supportability requirements broad scenarios.
