摘要: High costs and the potential risk to public health of drug-related workplace accidents are major concerns. Studies conducted evaluate this problem restricted by concerns for individual rights fears jeopardizing labor relations. However, in collaboration with Medical Examiner's office. Alberta Occupational Health Safety examined a unique set data on 459 deaths occurring at work. The only illicit drug found was cannabis which 10 workers tested positive. Forty positive alcohol, 28 prescription, 22 nonprescription drugs. Evidence alcohol use higher percentage fatalities due motor vehicle accidents, falls, being caught or under equipment than other types fatalities.
