摘要: Abstract A comprehensive 3D coupled mathematical model is developed to study the microwave assisted thermocatalytic decomposition of methane with activated carbon as catalyst. simple reaction kinetic for conversion (accounting catalyst deactivation) from previously published experimental data and governing equations microwaves, heat transfer, mass transfer fluid flow physics. Temperature distribution concentration profiles CH4 & H2 in bed are presented. The temperature at different input power values predict a non-uniform hot-spots near top bottom linear variation along length reactor show good agreement values. influence volumetric hourly space velocity on also investigated.
