摘要: We report the results of a contingent valuation study for finding conservative estimate value-of-statistical-life in an urban road safety context Sweden. value both private-good device and public-good program. The reduction risk is communicated with “community analogy” representation “Vision Zero” target national traffic-safety policy. According to this target, road-traffic system should be designed so as prevent accidents when they happen lead fatalities or severe injuries. use “certainty approach” ex-post correction remove mitigate hypothetical bias responses. As expected we find insensitivity responses full sample size being valued. By our approach can compute estimate, based on answers from fully confident respondents, largest possible enhancement (i.e. fulfilment Zero”). This lower bound indicates higher average willingness-to-pay public safety-improving measures than currently assumed benefit-cost assessments. also that willingness pay considerably within framework weak indication sensitivity scale among most respondents.
