Electrically-induced polarization selection rules of a graphene quantum dot

摘要: Abstract We study theoretically the single-electron triangular zigzag graphene quantum dot in uniform in-plane electric fields. The absorption spectra of are calculated by tight-binding method. energy and distribution wave functions also presented to analyse spectra. orthogonal zero-energy eigenstates arranged along direction external field. remarkable result is that all intraband transitions some interband forbidden when absorbed light polarized With x -direction field, y due electric-field-direction-polarization selection rule. Moreover, with either or parity rule as well Our calculation shows formation co-decided polarization rules overlap between transition.
