摘要: The progression or regression of left ventricular dysfunction (LVD) is automatically evaluated by a pacemaker other implantable cardiac stimulation device tracking changes in the resting sinus rate patient which implanted. detected first determining whether state profound rest, such as sleep, then measuring actual during rest. Profound rest may be using an activity variance sensor. An increase over period several months indicates LVD; whereas decrease regression. Appropriate LVD diagnostic information recorded for subsequent review physician. Based on LVD, physician modify drug therapy administered to adjust control parameters pacemaker, overdrive pacing affecting heart contractility via post-extrasystolic potentiation. If pump implanted within delivering therapy, controls view any LVD. technique also used verify efficacy patient, delivered otherwise. Processing primarily performed itself with external programmer communication device. Activity state-based techniques are set forth.
