摘要: Trait values are usually extracted from laboratory studies of single phytoplankton species, which presents challenges for understanding the immense diversity species and wide range dynamic ocean environments. Here we use a Bayesian approach trait-based model to extract trait 4 functional types 10 diatom field data collected at Station L4 in Western Channel Observatory, English Channel. We find differences maximum net growth rate, temperature optimum sensitivity, half-saturation constants light nitrogen, density-dependent loss terms across types. evidence very high linear rates, suggesting that grazing may be even more important than commonly assumed rates types, indicating presence strong niche differentiation among Low nitrogen type level indicate widespread mixotrophy. At level, effects, signal susceptibility or biotic interactions. This way obtain realistic better-constrained used ecosystem modeling.
