摘要: Changes in substance P the cat spinal cord after deafferentation of hindlimb were investigated using peroxidase-antiperoxidase technique. Unilateral lumbosacral dorsal root section (L1-S3) is followed by a decrease horn (laminae I, II and V) reaction product which most marked at 10-11 days. There no observable change ventral horn. The 13 or 15 day survivors demonstrate an increase over that seen days, still greater amounts appear 1 month survivors. After there little further increase. location returned resembles normals, but differs its staining characteristics. Substance containing cell bodies are observed normal animals on intact deafferented sides experimentals, suggesting interneurons propriospinal fibers may be source returning product. short times rhizotomy longer consistent with axonal sprouting. If so, then time course sprouting parallels locomotor recovery supports hypothesis two phenomena related.
