摘要: Abstract In this paper we deal with the kinematic and chronological relationships among low angle normal faults high strike- to oblique-slip in an exhumed mineralized area, where shear veins minor associated structures filled same mineral assemblage has been interpreted as indicators of coeval fault activities. The study area is located eastern Elba Island, a late Miocene-early Pliocene low-angle (Zuccale fault) high-angle extensively crop out, latter giving rise Capoliveri-Porto Azzurro zone. field highlighted that: (a) damage zones both sets are by syn-kinematic tourmaline, graphite, Fe-oxides and/or Fe-oxyhydroxides veins, thus indicating their activity during hydrothermal event (5.9–5.4 Ma); (b) zone constituted network fractures, whose geometry kinematics display evolution NE-trending left-lateral transtensional zone; (c) its internal architecture defined tourmaline framed characterizing Zuccale evolution; for reason, Capoliveri–Porto transfer active activity; (d) played role significant Late Pliocene–Pleistocene, therefore favouring deepening Tyrrhenian Basin respect uplift exhumation mid-crustal rocks Island. It finally argued that interaction between almost vertical determined increase permeability, mineralizing fluid flow stage and, reasonably, previous emplacement Porto magmatic body.
