摘要: The purpose of the study was to know whether wideband absorbance measurements can be a useful tool identify ears with otosclerosis. present analyzed WBA and highlighted its effectiveness in identifying otosclerosis differentiating from healthy normal ears. included 42 which were compared an equal sample size across frequencies average (375–2000 Hz) at peak ambient pressure, resonance frequency measured analyzed. Results showed that levels increased increase up 2000 Hz decreased thereafter, both mean group significantly lower 250–2000 Hz range than ear group. values pressure reduced 500 Hz for 1500 Hz group, pressure. Further, analysis (0.35) higher (1350.33 Hz) (0.60 930.14 Hz, respectively). ROC indicated is suitable otosclerotic also based on 250 1500 Hz. High diagnostic (> 90% sensitivity specificity) observed 1000 Hz. inclusion into clinical routine test procedures could detecting Further research required validate use combination other middle measures.
