Photoionization of Molecules and Clusters at a Third Generation Synchrotron Radiation Source

摘要: Photoionization experiments on free molecules and clusters carried out by the author are reviewed. Vibrationally resolved photoelectron spectroscopy with an instrumental resolution below lifetime broadening has been performed core levels of small C, N, O containing molecules. Subtle details interplay between vibrational electronic structure have revealed. Probing carbon chiral, somewhat larger circularly polarized synchrotron radiation shows a circular dichroism in angular distribution, which is present even for non-oriented molecular samples. More photoionization processes can be revealed coincidence experiments. Energy spectra oxygen resonant Auger electrons taken high kinematical reconstruction axis directions show clear signatures intramolecular electron scattering transfer. Photoelectron at photon energies than He Iα line rarely so far. First proven existence non-local autoionization process – Interatomic Coulombic Decay involves cooperative transitions two different sites weakly bonded system.
