Quantitation of Chemical Warfare Agents Using the Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) Technique

摘要: Direct analysis in real time (DART) is an ion source that permits rapid mass spectrometric detection of gases, liquids, and solids open air under ambient conditions. It a unique technology the field chemical weapons detectors it does not require vapor pressure, sample preparation, nondestructive to original sample. While DART technique has had success as first line instrument detection, there have been lingering doubts over technique’s quantitative reliability reproducibility. Here, we demonstrate its capability produce linear calibration curves (R2 = 0.99 or better) for nerve agents GA, GB, VX well blister agent HD.
