摘要: Electrochemistry (EC) is a mature scientific discipline aimed to study the movement of electrons in an oxidation–reduction reaction. EC covers techniques that use measurement potential, charge, or current determine concentration chemical reactivity analytes. The electrical signal directly converted into information. For in-depth characterization complex electrochemical reactions involving formation diverse intermediates, products and byproducts, usually combined with other analytical techniques, particularly hyphenation mass spectrometry (MS) has found broad applicability. analysis gases volatile intermediates formed at electrode surfaces enabled by differential (DEMS). In DEMS cell sampled membrane interface for electron ionization (EI)-MS. space amenable EC/MS (i.e., bioorganic molecules including proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, drugs) was significantly increased employing electrospray (ESI)-MS. simplest setup, ESI process used advantage. A limitation this approach is, however, its inability precisely control potential emitter electrode. Thus, studying mechanistic aspects processes, discrete cells ESI-MS be more appropriate. power EC/ESI-MS can further integrating liquid chromatography (LC) as additional dimension separation. Chromatographic separation useful reduce complexity sample submitted either ESI-MS. both EC/LC/ESI-MS LC/EC/ESI-MS are common.
