摘要: Abstract Numerous hormones are known to be endogenously secreted in a pulsatile manner. In particular, gonadotropin replacing hormone (GnRH) is released rhythmic pulses, and disruption of this rhythm associated with pathologies reproduction sexual development. an effort develop implantable, delivery system, scheme has been demonstrated involving negative feedback instability between pH-sensitive membrane enzymes that convert endogenous glucose hydrogen ion. A bench prototype system based on was previously shown produce near oscillations internal pH GnRH over period one week. the present work, systematic study conditions permitting such presented, along factors causing increase time ultimately cease. Membrane composition, concentration, surface area marble (CaCO 3 ), which incorporated as reactant, were found affect capacity oscillate, range occur. Accumulation gluconate − Ca 2 + correlated lengthening oscillation period, possibly cessation oscillations. Enzyme degradation may also factor. These studies provide groundwork for future improvements device design.
