摘要: An efficient distributed architecture for forwarding packets. The packet to be forwarded arrives in an ingress port, is processed by engine, transferred egress and then transmitted via port. address-based lookup at the engine identifies correct also a translation index specifying equivalence class (e.g., combination of address prefix mask) packet. uses as memory pointer recover adjacency information with which rewrite header. may maintain its entirely locally without need share or propagate updates engines. This approach results scalable highly architecture.
