摘要: Abstract Recent years have seen many examples of how the strong spin-orbit coupling present in iridates can stabilize new emergent states that are difficult or impossible to realize more conventional materials. In this review we outline a representative set studies detailing heterostructures based on Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) be used access yet novel physics. Beginning with short synopsis iridate thin film growth, effects heterostructure morphology RP including Sr 2 IrO 4 and SrIrO 3 discussed. Example explore epitaxial strain, laser-excitation transient states, topological semimetallicity , 2D magnetism artificial iridates, interfacial magnetic between neighboring layers. Taken together, these works show fantastic potential for controlled engineering quantum phenomena heterostructures.
