摘要: Abstract kisspeptins that are encoded by kiss1 gene now considered the key regulator of reproduction from a number studies in mammals. In most vertebrates, paralogue , called kiss2 is also present, and functional significance not known precisely. present study, we have cloned perciform teleost, red seabream Pagrus major . The amino acid sequence deduced contained highly conserved 10-amino-acid residue, Kiss2(10) or kp-10. A -like transcript was identified, but it appears to be non-functional due presence “premature” stop codon. Neurons express mRNA were distributed dorsal (NRLd) ventral (NRLv) parts nucleus recessi lateralis hypothalamus. some fish few -expressing neurons detected preoptic area ventralis tuberis. NRLd larger during first spawning season both males females compared with post-spawning periods. maturing than those NRLv showed similar pattern changes NRLd, while significant for females. numbers gonadotropin-releasing hormone 1 (GnRH1)-immunoreactive change as cells (and males). These results good agreement hypothesis involved pubertal processes via regulatory influences on GnRH1 seabream.
