摘要: Abstract In the current study, experimental tests are conducted to evaluate hydrodynamic characteristics and bottom wetted surfaces of planing hulls equipped by one transverse step. For this purpose, total resistance, dynamic trim angle, sinkage, reattachment lengths separated flow forebody aftbody areas quantitatively measured at different geometrical parameters step hull velocities. Moreover, qualitatively investigated analyzing underwater photographs. Our results also compared archival data with good accordance. Based on our observations, angle sinkage enhanced increasing in height decreasing longitudinal position from transom. However, lower resistance is achieved for greater addition, area velocity. larger detected an increase distance Finally, we formulated according reattached patterns.
